PROJECT 6

Mt Eliza

A full interior design renovation was undertaken to improve the overall functionality and flow of the home. The design focused on reconfiguring spaces to enhance daily usability, introducing a dedicated kids’ zone to support family living, and redefining the entry to create a stronger sense of arrival and connection. Through considered spatial planning, refined material selections, and cohesive design detailing, the transformation delivers a more functional, welcoming, and visually harmonious family home.

AFTER

Our design approach focused on enhancing everyday usability, improving spatial flow, and creating purposeful zones tailored to modern family living. One of the key challenges was the existing entry, which lacked connection and impact. We resolved this by introducing a new entry link between the garage and the home, framing views to a sculptural garden that draws the eye from the front door through to the main hallway.

The master bedroom was reimagined as a private retreat, complete with a walk-in robe (WIR), ensuite, and direct access to a master deck overlooking the pool and alfresco area. Adjacent to this zone, an adult office/retreat offers flexibility for work or relaxation, supported by a nearby powder room for convenience.

The kitchen was reoriented to maximize space and functionality, creating a strong connection with the dining and living areas. A pitched roof adds height and natural light, flowing seamlessly to the outdoor entertaining area and deck.

A dedicated kids’ wing includes three bedrooms, a rumpus room, a study nook, and a shared bathroom with separate WC, designed to balance independence and interaction. Practical elements such as a laundry, workshop, and garage ensure the home supports the demands of daily life while maintaining a refined aesthetic.

Outdoor living was elevated with the inclusion of a pool, expanded decks, and a servery window from the kitchen to the BBQ area—perfect for entertaining and family gatherings. Lush new landscaping reinforces the connection between indoors and out.

The result is a cohesive, contemporary family home—thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed.
