PROJECT 10

Rhyll

Situated in the quiet coastal village of Rhyll on Phillip Island, this residence is shaped by its sloping site and uninterrupted bay views. Designed in collaboration with renowned designer Graham Jones, the home is carefully positioned to frame the water outlook from the entry through to the living, dining, kitchen and master suite, allowing the surrounding landscape to become an ever-present backdrop to daily life.

A restrained material palette of natural, earthy finishes grounds the home within its environment, celebrating texture, warmth and a subtle rusticity. With a gentle touch on the land, the structure is elevated just enough to sit comfortably within the site’s contours, enhancing views while maintaining a sense of privacy and calm. The result is a dwelling that balances indoor–outdoor living with serene seclusion, a home both anchored to the earth and open to the horizon.
